Jesus is God’s son, so we should listen to him.

One day, Jesus invited a few of his disciples, Peter, James and John to go up the mountain with him. Once they got to the top, something really cool happened. Jesus’ face suddenly became bright like the sun and his clothes became bright like a light! Then, two famous guys from the past appeared. It was Moses and Elijah. This definitely took the disciples by surprise! They weren’t sure what was happening but they knew it was something special. But, then an even crazier thing happened. A voice from heaven spoke to them. It was God! And, what he said was very important. He told Peter, James and John to listen to Jesus! When they heard God speak, they bowed down on the ground in fear. But, Jesus told them not to be afraid. The point of this whole experience was to show the disciples how special Jesus was and why he should be obeyed. Jesus is God and he deserves respect and obedience. So kids, let’s remember to listen and obey Jesus because he’s the most important person ever!
