Jesus is proud of us when we believe in him, even though we can’t see him!
In today’s lesson, we’re going to learn about a guy named Thomas. Thomas was one of Jesus’ disciples. He hung out with Jesus and heard all of his great teachings and saw his cool miracles. When Jesus died on the cross, the disciples were really confused. They thought Jesus had come to save them but then he was gone. So, imagine how shocked the disciples were when Jesus appeared to them one day! Unfortunately, Thomas wasn’t there the first time Jesus appeared so he didn’t believe that Jesus was alive. Thomas said, “I won’t believe it unless I see him with my own eyes.” So, guess what? Jesus appeared again, this time Thomas was there! Thomas could put his fingers in the holes left by the nails that held Jesus on the cross. From that point on, Thomas believed and knew that Jesus was God who came to save the world. Even though we can’t see or touch Jesus, we can still believe in him and know that he’s real. That’s called faith!
